FOTL Community Speakers Series: Addressing Social Isolation in Later Life

This presentation will illuminate the negative effects that social isolation has on one's mental and physical health and how Partners in Care engages its members to be independent and engaged within their communities.  Several examples of members who are still extremely vital and healthy because they continue to contribute to society will be highlighted.

Partners In Care Maryland, Inc. is a Volunteer based 501(c)3 nonprofit Organization, and a recognized Leader in Maryland for Programs and Services that support the independence of older adults – age 60 and older.

To this end, the organization has programs like Ride Partners, providing transportation for appointments and errands, and Repairs with Care, which offers members to accomplish minor home repairs.  The organization is also actively engaged in advocacy related to issues affecting elder community members.
