Medicare and long-term care insurance can both be confusing.  This presentation will provide very useful information on understanding what Medicare will cover and the use of supplemental plans for coverage. A particularly misunderstood aspect of Medicare for many is the use of the plan for long-term care.  The cost of care in Maryland averages about $11,000 – $15,000/month for nursing homes and $15 – $30/hour for in-home care. Long-term care insurance is designed to help pay for nursing home and in-home care needs as health declines.

The best age to be thinking about long-term care insurance is between 40 – 55 years of age. If you are interested in working with Brandy or Marissa to find the best insurance solutions, they are available for additional assistance after the meeting.
