About Your Instructor: Bee George
George studied beekeeping at the Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute in beautiful Wooster, Ohio, under the renowned Dr. Jim Tew, earning a certificate in beekeeping.
His experience includes:
Running pollination units for muskmelons in Central America, working with Africanized bees
Serving as a regional bee inspector for the Maryland Department of Agriculture
Leading as past president of both the Wye River Beekeepers and the Montgomery County Beekeepers Association
Serving as vice president of the Maryland State Beekeepers Association, representing Talbot County
